Welcome to the Publications Section of the Northern Ireland Ombudsman web site.

Under Section 19 of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 all public authorities, including the Northern Ireland Ombudsman’s Office, have a duty to maintain a Publication Scheme outlining what information they publish, how it is made available, and whether this information will be available free of charge or on payment.

The Ombudsman has now adopted the Model Publication Scheme recommended by the Information Commissioner’s Office. A full copy of the Ombudsman’s amended Publication Scheme will appear on this site in due course.
